Prayer

Jesus said, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them” (Matthew 18:20)

 

What Jesus taught here was profound. He was teaching us that as we gather for a time of prayer as a church He would be right there with us.

The early church gathering regularly for the purpose of prayer (Acts 2:40-47).  As they faithfully prayed, God came among them and worked mighty miracles in response to their faithfulness. Corporate prayer was foundational and a core value of the early church.

At Acorn we meet every Tuesday at 7:30 to seek God together and to cry out to Him that He might fulfil His will and purposes for our church community, our region and beyond. God is faithful and we gather expectantly awaiting His gracious response to our prayers.
